Somewhat of a youngster in the angling world being born in the early 90's. I never formed to one who got involved within the generational gaming / social media era. I went fishing instead. On the days that I wouldn't catch I always wondered, why? I'd blame my rods, my rigs and more often than not I'd blame my bait. I was keen to eliminate my bait from being one of my fishing downfalls so I decided to look into what goes into the bait that I'm using. I became something of an analyst and critic of everything product related and decided to go down the route of sourcing ingredients capable of producing the goods whilst also enriching the fish that we love to spend days on the bank in order to catch. I believe that the baits we offer are a fantastic balance of nutrition and attraction meaning that I can only now blame the rods and the rigs.

Back in the early 70's when I first went fishing without any adults, just me and a couple of school friends. The excitement of feeling a fish on the split cane rod was such a rush, that I was addicted. Until the day girls and alcohol took over. Back in the early 70's when I first went fishing without any adults, just me and a couple of school friends. The excitement of feeling a fish on the split cane rod was such a rush, that I was addicted. Until the day girls and alcohol took over. When I came back into the world of angling 30 years or so later, I didn't recognise quite a lot of tackle or bait. Hair rigs? Boilies? Baitrunner reels? To mention a few. I was used to split cane rods, homemade quill floats, maggots, worm, bread and meat.
I wasn't going to be be beaten, played along with all this new fishing set up. It wasn't long before I wanted to know why boilies were such a big deal. I studied the main ingredients and methods for making these wonder baits. I experimented with making them for personal use. After tweaking and changing certain ingredients I finally had quite a few different combinations that I was having a reasonable catch rate. Maybe the nutrients and vitamins I was adding made a difference. It was just a change from the regular several flavours available.
